Flatiron School

Learn to code. Change your life.

Flatiron School started in 2012 with a simple idea: anyone can learn to code if given the right environment and support. We built a rigorous, immersive program that combined project-based learning with mentorship.

As Dean and Chief Product Officer, I designed the curriculum, built the learning platform (Learn.co), and shaped the pedagogical philosophy. We focused on teaching people to think like developers, not just memorize syntax.

The school grew to graduate over 10,000 students with a 95%+ job placement rate. We were acquired by WeWork in 2017, and the platform was later licensed to 2U.
