Terms of Service

Effective September 11, 2026. These terms cover avi.nyc, every application on an avi.nyc subdomain, and any other application that links here.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of avi.nyc, any site or application hosted on a subdomain of avi.nyc, and any other application we build that links to these Terms (together, the "Services"). The Services are operated by Work in Play LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Services only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Accounts and sign-in

Some Services allow you to sign in using a third-party account such as Google, LinkedIn, or X. You are responsible for keeping that account secure and for all activity under it. You must provide accurate information and may not impersonate anyone else. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, other accounts, or connected systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Services, including by overloading, scraping at scale, or introducing malicious code
  • Reverse engineer or copy the Services except as permitted by law
  • Use the Services to harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Post content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable

Your content

If a Service lets you submit content, you keep ownership of it. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and process that content as needed to operate the Service. You are responsible for your content and represent that you have the rights to share it.

Our content

The Services, including their design, code, text, and graphics, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Unless otherwise stated, you may not reproduce or distribute them without permission. Where we publish code or writing under an open license, that license controls.

Third-party services

The Services may link to or integrate with third-party services, including sign-in providers. We do not control those services and are not responsible for them. Your use of them is subject to their own terms.

Free and experimental projects

The Services covered by these Terms are provided free of charge, and many are personal or experimental projects. They may be changed, paused, or shut down at any time without notice. We make no commitment to maintain any Service or to preserve any data stored in it.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed one hundred US dollars.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.

Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
